Eagle’s Eyrie
1390 Alpine Way, Crackenback, NSW, 2627
Welcome to our 100-acre property on Crackenback Ridge in Thredbo Valley, home to two tiny houses, a studio apartment and our main house.
The Crest:
Ignore the first tiny house you see—it is not The Crest.
Continue driving up the driveway.
The Crest is at the top of the driveway, just before the main house.
When you see a big shed and a water tank on your left, turn LEFT and follow the road beside the water tank
The Nest:
Continue down to the main house.
Park in front of the garage door.
The Nest / The Crest will be open on your arrival! So just let yourselves in.
*Our driveway requires 4WD if there has been snowfall. Sometimes snow storms mean walking up the drive is the only option.
In the event of heavy snow, we will guide and assist you onto the property.
How to Find THE PROPERTY
DETAILED Directions to Eagle’s Eyrie
Address:
1390 Alpine Way, Crackenback, NSW, 2627
General Directions:
Eagle’s Eyrie is on The Alpine Way, the road from Jindabyne to Thredbo Village.
You'll pass The Wildbrumby Distillery, Crackenback Farm Restaurant, and Pender Lea Horse Riding.
About 10 minutes on The Alpine Way, you'll head up a big hill where the speed limit changes from 100 km/h to 80 km/h.
Just over the crest of this hill, on the right-hand side, you'll see a sign for ‘Ivo’s Farm’ and ‘Eagle’s Eyrie’—this is your turnoff.
If Coming from Victoria through Thredbo:
Look for the ‘Ivo’s Farm’ sign and turn left.
*Important Turnoff Instructions from Jindabyne:
Prepare to turn: Slow down as you drive up the hill, letting cars overtake you in the overtaking lane.
Position: When approaching the crest of the hill, signal right and move into the right lane.
Turn safely: Over the crest, slow down (ensure no one is behind you) and check that it's clear to turn right into our driveway.
Alternative route: If the road is too busy or you’re uncomfortable turning, continue to Lake Crackenback Resort a few minutes down the road, turn around, and approach the driveway from the other direction.
THE DRIVEWAY:
Eagle’s Eyrie:
Turn onto the dirt road and take the driveway leading to the right up the hill, marked by the Eagle’s Eyrie gate.
Drive carefully, enjoy the views, and watch for wallabies and deer.
Keep driving past the first tiny house that is halfway up the driveway.
When the view opens up on the right, you’re nearly there. Slow down as you head over the final crest.
The Crest:
When you see the main house and the shed on the left, pull in and drive around the water tank into the tiny house car park.
The Nest:
When you see the shed on your left, keep driving straight down to the main house and park in front of the garage door.
Walk down the left-hand side of the house to find your private entrance.

Guest Rules
We are pretty relaxed up here and want you to relax too. So please make yourself at home! During your stay, you are more than welcome to explore and walk the property. Just steer clear of the main dwelling and we will also respect your privacy at The Crest and The Nest. Don’t use the fire pit if there is a fire ban or on a windy day/night. Make sure you don’t leave any litter outside that can blow into the bush.
The dOgs
You’ll soon meet our two dogs - Iggy & Dexter (sometimes Dexter’s mum Chilli is also running around). They are super friendly and don’t make too much noise (they do then to bark on occasion).
If you are not comfortable with dogs and they are hanging around please just text us and we can make sure they are inside.
